Sea Island Land Development (SILD) was selected by JF Petroleum Group / JF Construction Services to perform site development for a new Spinx convenience store and fuel station in Summerville, South Carolina. Developed by The Spinx Company, this 3.6-acre commercial project will feature 16 fueling pumps and a 5,366-square-foot convenience store, providing additional fueling and retail services to the growing Summerville community.
SILD’s scope of work includes land clearing, excavating, grading, public utilities, storm drainage installation, concrete work, and asphalt paving. Working alongside project engineer Seamon Whiteside, our team is responsible for preparing the site and installing the essential infrastructure needed to support the new commercial facility.
One of the project’s primary challenges involves coordinating roadway access along US Highway 17A and Hutson Drive, managing existing power pole relocations, and navigating utility approvals, erosion control requirements, and tree protection measures. These conditions require careful planning and coordination to maintain safe and efficient construction operations.
Construction began in October 2026 and is scheduled for completion in March 2027, highlighting SILD’s experience delivering comprehensive commercial site development projects throughout the South Carolina Lowcountry.
