Sea Island Land Development (SILD) was selected by Thompson Turner Construction to perform site development for the new Riverview Charter School Gym in the Town of Port Royal, South Carolina. Developed for the Beaufort County School District, this approximately 1-acre project will add a new gymnasium to the existing charter school campus, expanding the facilities available to students and staff.
SILD’s scope of work includes land clearing, grading, public utilities, storm drainage, concrete work, and asphalt paving. Working alongside project engineer Ward Edwards Engineering, our team is responsible for preparing the site and installing the infrastructure necessary to support the new facility.
With construction taking place on an active school campus, careful coordination, site safety, and efficient scheduling are essential throughout the project. Construction began in June 2026 with completion targeted for August 2026, highlighting SILD’s experience delivering educational and public-sector sitework throughout the Lowcountry.
