Sea Island Land Development (SILD) is proud to have been selected by Brookfield Properties to construct a significant half-mile road extension that will enhance connectivity between the growing Nexton community and U.S. Highway 176 in Summerville, South Carolina.
This critical infrastructure project involved the excavation and grading of approximately 21,000 cubic yards of earthwork to prepare the site for roadway construction. As part of the scope, SILD also extended essential utilities, including sanitary sewer and water mains, to support future development in the area.
In addition to the roadwork and utility installation, the project included the construction of a new stormwater management pond and an advanced drainage system, designed to ensure long-term functionality and compliance with environmental regulations. These improvements will help manage runoff and improve the overall resilience of the local infrastructure.
