Sea Island Land Development (SILD) was selected by Lennar Carolinas to lead site development for the second phase of the Emblem at Cane Bay apartment community in Berkeley County, South Carolina. This phase covers over 18 acres and includes 12 building pads, all of which were constructed using on-site materials that had been stockpiled from previous pond excavation work. By reusing these materials, the project maintained both cost-efficiency and environmental responsibility.
SILD’s responsibilities on this project include clearing and grubbing, mass earthwork, installation of all underground utilities, and asphalt paving. Our team is working in close coordination with civil engineering firm Thomas & Hutton and collaborating with Berkeley County officials to ensure full compliance with development standards and timelines.
Throughout the project, we are also working closely with Lennar’s vertical construction division to ensure a seamless transition from site preparation to building construction. This level of coordination supports timely project delivery and demonstrates our commitment to excellence in large-scale residential development.
